I am very happy with the Toshiba NB205 mini-N210
It fits into a bag. Battery life is good. I miss the drawer of the CD, but most often it is not necessary and proper to carry more weight. I will probably buy an external USB CD reader / writer.

Self-protective, "I decline" mode is probably a good idea, but a bit 'boring.
